Sick of hearing the same thing from the same people about crime and justice issues? We are.
At Rethinking Crime and Punishment, our goal is for everyone to be fully informed about issues of crime and justice. We think that the law and order debate is too important to be left to politicians, journalists and a handful of so called ‘experts’.
In fact, we think that New Zealanders have a right to hear from people who know what they're talking about - people who understand ‘what works’ and who bring a range of perspectives to the debate.
With that in mind, we have assembled a Speakers Bureau. This is a collection of people who not only know what they're talking about but are willing to talk with you. Whether you're a community or church group, a sports club or just a group of people who want to know more about crime and justice in New Zealand, we have the speaker for you.
Our speakers come with a variety of life experience, knowledge and expertise. Some have been in prison, others have run them. Some are internationally recognised academics, others have spent their careers working at the justice coalface. If you have questions about crime and justice issues, they can answer them.
